Entry for these sessions and the exhibitions is free for all.

Designed by renowned architect Moshe Safdie, it was built in 1995 and draws book lovers and tourists alike. Bring the kids and go to the toddlers' play area or kids' lounge. There is also an art gallery, public readings, speakers and seven stories of books to browse. There is a large promenade with a six story-high ceiling that is filled with perfect people-watching seats. Shops and cafes dot the entrance, so grab a bite or souvenir as you explore. This is a great indie and classic film-lover's theatre that shows an array of independent and international cinema. Pacific Cinematheque is dedicated to the understanding of film and moving images', and to helping people learn more about media literacy and the processes and history of film making itself. The cinephile's venue is available for function rentals and can accommodate up to 194 people. The program focuses primarily on films from British Columbia and Canada, but hosts a thriving international program as well.
Orpheum Theatre was built in 1927 and restored in 1976 to its former glory. Originally opened as a vaudeville house, it is now a beautiful, much-loved city landmark. Located in the entertainment district Downtown, it is the perfect venue for a glamorous night out on the town, offering a variety of concerts, musicals and ceremonies as well as being the home of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra.
