Tesla's Wardenclyffe Laboratory was where Nikola Tesla began his work for inventing wireless electricty. This experimental wireless transmission station is also known as the Tesla tower. Investor J. P. Morgan had backed this project initially providing the fund to build the giant tower as well as the laboratory. After further funding for the project could not be arranged, Nikola Tesla ditched the laboratory in 1906.
