Folly Farm Nature Preserve

Folly Farm Nature Preserve is relatively a new nature park in Safety Harbour, Florida. Spanning 8.6 acres (3.4 hectares), the park sits on the grounds of its original owners, who donated their land to the city in 2014. This beautiful park features an abundance of greenery, scenic nature trails, a garden filled with colorful flowers frequented by a variety of butterflies, and a playground. Located very closed to downtown Safety Harbour, the park is a wonderful spot for unwinding.

Safety Harbor Park Nature Boardwalk

Take a scenic stroll along the boardwalk, specially installed for nature lovers to enjoy some me time. Perfect for quiet reflection, the pristine surrounds of the nature park are inspiring. Featuring four trails offering breathtaking views of Old Tampa Bay, one can access the boardwalk starting from Waterfront Park to North Bayshore Boulevard. Flora and fauna are aplenty; spot pelicans enjoying their time catching fish and relaxing on the vastly spread waterbody.

Caladesi Island State Park

The natural beauty of Caladesi is breathtaking with its pristine water and sugar-white sand providing the ideal spot for swimming, shell collecting, and sunbathing. Numerous birds and wildlife call the island home and can be observed while hiking the three mile nature trail. Kayaks are available for rent for exploring the three mile waterway through the mangroves. There is a marina for boaters along with a snack bar, picnic tables, shelters and gift shop. The island is accessible by private boat or by using the Caladesi Connection ferry service located at Honeymoon Island State Park.

Honeymoon Island State Park

The 2785-acres (1,127 hectares) Honeymoon Island State Park is located on the picturesque Honeymoon Island, which is on the western end of Florida. Scattered with verdant forests, the western side of the island is lined with white sandy beaches. This state park features several nature trails like Pelican Cove Trail and Osprey Trail. Day-trippers can make use of various facilities like picnic areas, concession stands, and more. They can also indulge in activities like fishing and bird watching.
