Dolní oblast Vítkovice

Dolní oblast Vítkovice is a significant national monument located on Ruská. It includes a large section of a industrial facility, particularly an ironworks unit, blast furnace, coal mine and a coking center. Proud to be a part of the European cultural heritage, this 19th-century structure houses an auditorium that hosts several musical concerts. It is also home to the Science and Technology Center since 2014. The center showcases some exciting exhibits on world civilization, kids' world and discoveries from different geographical regions of the world. A science theater and a 3D cinema hall are also found. The gasometer was converted to a multipurpose hall called Gong Aula that opened in May 2012.
