"Happiness in Reading"

Canadian artist Lea Vivot created the sculpture The Secret Bench of Knowledge in Ottawa, Ontario. Laid down in 1994 amidst a crowd of spectators, the sculpture contains inspiring messages etched on it by students who stress the role of reading in ones life. The statue was unveiled by the artist along with a young blind boy whose message was etched in Braille. The sculpture has since become an important tourist landmark in the city.
