"Gothic Revival Marvel"

Built in Gothic Revival architectural style, Grade II listed St Mary the Virgin's Church was constructed in the 12th Century. Its design was simple and it consisted onf a chancel and a nave. The tower of the church building was built in the next century and elevated to its existing height only in the 16th Century. The structure's transepts feature single lights found at their west and east. Two windows with tapestry are found to the south and north. Two mausolea are assocated with St Mary the Virgin's Church. Freeman Mausoleum dates back to the year 1750 while Mackenzie Mausoleum dates back to 1862 and was erected for Fawley Court's Mackenzie.
