Nestled in the lap of the Santa Monica Mountains, the region was once home to the Chumash culture, which thrived here for thousands of years. The park, bejeweled with little knolls and native flora and fauna, is an ideal destination for hiking, picnicking, biking, and equestrian sports. It is also home to the Satwiwa Native American Indian Culture Center, which hosts programs and workshops that explore Native American history and culture.
