Set in a cabin that was built in 1930, Idyllwild Area Historical Society gives us a peek into the history of mountaineers who climbed up the majestic San Jacinto Mountains. They showcase exhibits of various photos, documents, tools and equipment used by these climbers. Visitors can also learn about the Native American tribe Cahuilla, who are said to be the early inhabitants of the valley.
Located close to Mount San Jacinto State Park, Middle Ridge Winery is set in the cozy town of Idyllwild. Run by Chris and Melody Johnston, they are known to offer delicious wines like pinot noir and merlot. Along with wine tasting sessions, this family-owned business also offers various activities, workshops and events to share their love for making wines.
