"Sea of Pink Clarkias"
Edgewood Park In Redwood City consists of numerous trails, one of which is the Clarkia Trailhead. It is so named for the pink Clarkia flowers that grow during the latter parts of spring. It is frequented by horse riders and hikers, although cycling is not allowed along this trail. It is also dotted by other flowering varieties such as Owl's Clover, bright red poppies, yellow Tidy Tips and Goldfields. Visitors might also spot a few animals and birds if they are lucky. This trail does not allow pets like dogs and prohibits the picking of flowers.
