Pineapple Willy's
Built in 1935 atop the original "Pier 99," this is one of the first spots on the beach that exploded with tourists when the area was first discovered by outsiders. Today, the rides and 75-cent lobsters are gone, but Willy's has remained long and strong. Today, visitors to this famous attraction can sample a wide variety of drinks, including the famous rum "Pineapple Willy." If you're looking for something to settle your stomach, try the award-winning BBQ ribs. Whatever your fancy, Pineapple Willy's has what you want.
Hunt's Oyster Bar
This oyster bar and seafood shack specializes in the local Apalachicola variety of the shellfish. They are large, juicy, and extremely plentiful in the area, so make sure to sample a dozen if you stop in here, whether you prefer them fried, baked, battered, or simply raw on the half-shell. This place also specializes in other seafood dishes such as salads, sandwiches, and fried or steamed delicacies. There is also a selection of beers with which to wash it all down.
Schooners Last Local Beach Club
Located right smack dab on the beach, this is a local favorite that's been around for years. Since the late 1960's, when it was originally named "The Beach Party," locals have been enjoying their mornings in the sun, their afternoons at the bar, and their evenings with some of the best concerts and DJ's PCB has to offer. Despite being blown over by Hurricane Opal in 1995, Schooners re-opened in 1996 and has been going strong ever since! This is definitely the most relaxed and easy-going spot on the beach. If you're around in September, the Schooners' Annual LobsterFest is a can't-miss event.
Sharky’s Beachfront Restaurant
Boasting the world's largest tiki hut on the beach since 1987, it's hard to miss Sharky’s Beachfront Restaurant. However, if you do, you're missing out on something special. Here, along with excellent drink specials and some of the best food around, patrons and party people can enjoy some of the best nightlife and events, all of it right on the beach! Don't be afraid to wander out on the sand for a game of volleyball or sip your margarita under a palm umbrella. Either way, you're enjoying the best PCB has to offer.
Restaurant Paradis
Restaurant Paradis, located in Rosemary Beach, is the perfect place to enjoy a prime steak or fresh seafood, all with a fine glass of wine. Their menu includes entrees like the Paradis Ribeye, Black Skillet Fillet Mignon, and Ahi Tuna. The restaurant also offers a an intimate bar lounge where customers can enjoy specialty cocktails, as well as an outside patio for dining.
Gene's Oyster Bar
Gene's Oyster Bar was actually an oyster bar long before Gene came on the scene. In 1941, Hiram Austin Conrad opened Conrad's Oyster Bar, which operated until his death in 1966. It wasn't until 1969 that Gene and Ann Bruner bought the building and opened up Gene's Oyster Bar, making the building one of the oldest original oyster bars in the area. Today, folks can tuck into some delicious seafood, including crab, shrimp, and - of course - oysters.
