"Age-Old Church"

The Saint Germain Church of Vitry-sur-Seine is a remarkable example of ancient architecture, built between the 12th and the 14th Centuries in Roman and Gothic architectural styles. The church, itself classified as a national Historic Monument since 1843, contains a number of works which also fall under this protective classification: the organ, some paintings, and certain piece of furniture. The transept is the oldest portion of the building (mid-12th Century), while the sacristy, dated 1867, is the most recent addition.
