La Patache

When the scenery begins to grow dull after a few hours spent drinking and snacking on Canal Saint Martin, head to La Patache. Inside the rustic bar, you'll find interesting locals of all ages. Almost every night starting at 6 p.m., the mike is open to anyone who plays acoustic music. If you're hungry, order a cheese and chacuterie platter, which are served on wooden boards. Everything about La Patache feels old - there's an ancient jukebox that no longer works, but a wood-burning stove that does. The walls display weathered maps and posters from long ago; if the bar were anywhere else, it'd be a dive.
