The Whisky Bar

One of the more refined places for a drink on Changkat Bukit Bintang, the Whisky Bar specializes in rare and imported whiskeys from around the world. Though Scottish whiskeys are generally considered the best, their 200+ label collection includes some Japanese single malts and Welsh blends that might change your mind. Whiskey is available by the glass or bottle and orders ‘on the rocks’ come with ice balls which, the bartender will explain, melt slower than ice cubes. The bar’s decor has an elegant masculinity about it with hardwood floors and leather seating. A live jazz band provides the soundtrack most nights after 8p.

Pan Bakery

Located in the business district of Petaling Jaya, this venue is a great place for lunch and an ideal spot to hangout till the wee hours of the morning. Rattan chairs and wooden tables are placed at the patio for diners to have their meal.
They serve sumptuous Western and local cuisine. Must-tries include the hot nasi lemak (steamed coconut rice with hot sauce) and a selection of super sandwiches. The wide variety of pastries is heavenly and the ice-blended lattes are definitely a refreshing treat.
