Declared a National Park in 1981, Sirinat is about 30 kilometers from town on the northbound Thep Kasattri Road. Covering an area of 90 square kilometers, there is plenty to see including an uninterrupted 13-kilometer stretch of beach, and extensive mangrove forests. After a brief orientation by park officials you can take a guided hike, along marked tracks, through untouched landscape. Officials will be able to tell you the best places for watching animals or admiring plants and flowers, and are always happy to share their extensive knowledge of the area.
