The Allegheny Observatory of the University of Pittsburgh brings the stars within reach. The 13-inch telescope is powerful enough to see the stars and planets that inhabit space. Guided tours are available Thursdays and Fridays, April through October. The tour is open to individuals or groups, but reservations are required. The free tours always begin at 8p and usually last two hours. The tour is not recommended for children under the age of 7.
