Built in the year 1901 and commissioned by Frantisek Kotek, Měšťanská beseda formerly served as a municipal building in the heart of Plzen. Situated on Kopeckého sady ulica, this early 20th-century structure remains an excellent example of Neo-Renaissance architectural style, with elements of Art Nouveau. The magnificent building is home to a number of ornate halls, movie theater and Art Nouveau cafe. Its Great Hall is truly an architectural marvel, designed with intricately carved frescoes and paintings.
