Established in the year 1964, the Congregation Har Shalom originally operated under the name Seven Locks Jewish Community of Potomac. The synagogue acquired its current title only in 1971 when the institution was headed by Rabbi Leonard Cahan. The building's stylishly-embellished interiors are put to good use for hosting events for the members of the congregation. Events such as Religious School Family Game Nights, Star Shabbat, Karch Book Talk, and Shakshuka Pop Up are held here with enthusiasm and dedication.
