Train Cemetery

Situated just outside the desert town of Uyuni is a popular tourist attraction known as Train Cemetery. As the name suggests, this is the home of several old, decommissioned trains that once plied through the country carrying carrying minerals from the mountains. Dusty, old and decaying engines and carriages lay abandoned in this wasteland of sorts, since the fall of the mining industry in the late 20th century.
