Cafe Provence

When most diners think about dining in Kansas City and its environs, they conjure up images of succulent pulled pork, brisket and some of the best BBQ in the country. You would hardly think there was enough room for a fine French establishment. However, Cafe Provence is one such place outside of the city in nearby Prairie Village. The kitchen focuses on a steady repertoire of favorites from Provence like Moules Marinières, Canard au Poivre and their amazing Coquille St. Jacques. Every Tuesday the establishment also offers a wonderful four course prix fixe menu that features southern France at its finest along with some of the regions best wines.
