AS220 is a non-profit venue that foments love for art in all its myriad forms. They have various resources open to the public, some are free, others require a nominal fee. Some of the workshops and classes include computer labs that teach programming languages, darkroom skills for DSLR Newbies and print shop techniques for traditional media purists. Additionally, inside this 22,000-square-foot building, visitors will find several galleries and a stage where local artists display their talents. There is always something new at AS220.
Dunkin' Donuts Center Providence is the arena where almost seems like the entertainment never stops. There are a whole lot of events that take place here such as concerts, live music, sports events, tournaments and trade shows. The American Hockey League (an affiliate of the NHL) holds its home tournaments in this arena and it's also the home to the Providence Bruins. Any event at the Dunkin' Donuts Center is a larger than life experience in this 31,000 square foot arena.
The Meehan Auditorium on the Brown University campus was originally built in 1961, and was renovated in 2002. The dome of the Meehan is awe-inspiring and rises above the city skyline. The auditorium houses a spacious Brown Hockey Association room, also called the Davis lounge. The centerpiece of the auditorium is the ice rink, with NHL dasher boards, and glass partitions. The auditorium has a great lighting system and newly installed insulated windows. Meehan is the venue where the best Hockey matches are thrashed out and champions are crowned.
