Situated in the area of the prestigious Providence College, Schneider Arena opened in 1973 and can seat over 3,000 people. The arena is used for men and women's hockey games and other cultural events.
Fete Lounge, situated inside the popular Fête Music Hall , plays host to concerts featuring talented bands and musicians much to the delight of music-lovers in the city. While here, apart from enjoying live music, you can get your favorite drink from the Shelter Arcade Bar situated inside the Fête Music Hall, dance and meet new people. The venue can also be rented for hosting private and corporate events.
An integral part of student lives at the Rhode Island College, The Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts is the hub of various events and presentations the year round. One such facility of this centre is the Auditorium In Roberts Hall which hosts many cultural events, programmes, film presentations, recitals and plays in it's space. With a capacity of 943 people, a hi-tech sound and lighting system, the venue is well-equipped for hosting the above mentioned events.
The Met is synonymous with Providence nightlife, where practically every night of the week you can hear the sounds of hip-hop DJs, rock bands, rappers, indie girl bands, the list goes on-and-on. The club first started out as the venerable Met Café, then it outgrew its space and moved over to the Peerless Building on Union Street. Since then, the calendar has held a veritable who's who list of popular acts, some of which have included The Black Eyed Peas, Dave Matthews Band and many others.
