Quick Trigger Brewing Company on Main Street West is located behind Mug Shotz Cafe. This microbrewery was founded in the year 2017. They serves a selection of Belgian and American craft beers. They even serve delicious pub eats like sandwiches, soups, salads and more. Patrons can take a guided tour of the facility. They also host live music sessions here.
Located off South Main Street, C. S. Brown Regional Cultural Arts Center is nestled in Waters Training School’s campus. Set in Brown Hall, this arts center and museum opened its doors in 1986. Built in 1926, the Brown Hall is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. It has various exhibits that feature African art, Native American artifacts and more. They even offer individual and group tours here. This Greek Revival-style building also offers space to host events like weddings, gatherings and recitals.
The Brady C. Jefcoat Museum is located in the heart of the city and truly boasts a massive array of American antiquities and rare objects. The collection of more than 13,000 items includes phonographs, old utensils, radios, washing machines, furniture, vinyl, and much more. The range and variety of the collection is truly mind boggling with some items that are more than 200 years old. The collection of Mr. Brady C. Jeffcoat is exceptional and definitely worth a look at when in the city.
