When you enter the Volkshaus, you can't help be reminded of a large station building. The inside is simple and timeless and the room is simply massive. The waiters have to be on their toes to ensure all the tables are being attended to. Sometimes this can take a while before you get your café-au lait, delicious salad or whatever you've ordered, but on the plus side what's on offer is also very good. You tend to meet former students who are that bit older at the Volkshaus. In the daytime lots of children play around the tables and sometimes there's a band on or there's a big football match on a giant screen. The station comparison can be made with the background of the customers too, as it houses a wide variety of people from all walks of life.
