Manel Mayoral Gallery

The works by national and international painters from the last two centuries are displayed in Galeria Manuel Mayoral. Some of these painters include prestigious artists such as Graner, Brull, Baixeras, Rusiñol, Casas, Grau-Sala, Pruna and Opisso. Works by modern artists like Wifredo Lan, Fernando Botero, Celso Legar, Hans Hartung, Luis Freih, Antoni Clavé and Miquel Barceló are have also been exhibited here. A must-visit for connoisseurs wanting to browse through some timeless pieces of art.

Sala Razzmatazz

Sala Razzmatazz is a mecca for live concerts in Barcelona. Established in 2000, this club is home to five unique spaces that host top artists on the national and international music scene. Their events calendar is busy throughout the year and attracts varied patrons ranging for local music fans to traveling aficionados. The likes of Coldplay, Kanye West, David Byrne, Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes and Franz Ferdinand have taken centerstage here, representing an eclectic range of genres – from pop and rock, to indie and electronic.

Marula Café

Marula Café is a vibrant pub and music space, hosting concerts and live gigs every night. Funk music rules, while rock, pop, country, jazz and other genres are also played here. The club is intimate though CD launches, presentations, small conferences and so on are also held. The crowd is an eclectic mix of locals and visitors, making this a great place to mingle with friends and friendly strangers. Grab a drink at the cocktail bar, known for the delicious libations served here, and groove to the music as you become oblivious to the city outside. The venue is best known for the weekly A Wamba Baluba night, every Thursday from 9:30p to 5a. The club comes alive to the sound of music as local, national and international bands take center stage. DJ sessions and theme parties often feature on the entertainment program of A Wamba Balaba as well.

Passeig de Gràcia

Aside from being one of the best places to view Catalan Modernist architecture, Passeig de Gràcia is also the city's elegant shopping area par excellence. Foreign brands such as Ermenegildo Zegna, MaxMara, Escada, and Armand Bassi stand beside Spanish labels such as Purificación García, Camper, and Loewe. The exclusivity of Vogue, Bally, and Yanko are offset by more accessible shops like Mango, Globe, Benetton, and Laura Ashley. This street also boasts the Bulevard dels Antiquaris, which is excellent for antiques, as well as many restaurants and outdoor cafés, bookshops, and jewelers. At number 55, Boulevard Rosa also offers more than 50 small, elegant shops under one roof. Above all else, Passeig de Gràcia offers passerby boundless style and energy.

Milano Cocktail Bar

From noon till late hours of night, Milano Cocktail Bar welcomes patrons into its elegant atmosphere to enjoy a drink or feast on traditional tapas. Renowned for its cocktails, do not leave this place without trying a few of their interesting concoctions. Green Almond, Gentleman Apple, Picasso, Lady Sour and the Watermelon Martini are highly recommended. In the afternoons, patrons are given a trip back in time, as the restaurant recreates a 1940s ambiance. Nights at this place are brought alive by soothing melodies strummed by Jazz musicians.

Café Teatre Llantiol

The charming Café Teatre Llantiol puts on all kinds of shows (though small-scale to match the café's limited capacity). Entertainment includes everything from poetry recitals, to satirical verse and comedy events, clowns, magicians, singers, dancers, Dixieland bands and solo performers. All in all, there is a wonderful variety of performing arts on display, which can even take you back in time. There are special surprises on Tuesdays and Thursdays from midnight on, and Llantiol late shows on Fridays and Saturdays. It is definitely a good place to stop in to relax after strolling around the Raval district or visiting art galleries.
