Camp Nou

A landmark district in Barcelona, the Portal de l'Àngel is always filled with people looking for a bargain inside one of the cool boutiques. Located in the Ciutat Vella (old city), the Portal de l'Àngel has a wide variety of stores and it is the second most popular area to shop in the city. The district extends from the Plaça Catalunya and runs along the Avinguda Diagonal all the way to the Barri Gòtic.

Barceloneta Beach

Located in Barcelona's traditional fishing quarter of the same name, Barceloneta Beach runs parallel to the esplanade to one side of the Port Olympic. Spanning a length of 422 meters, the beach's soft sand set against shimmering turquoise waters fringed by swaying palms is the ideal sun-drenched retreat. Thronged by tourists looking to soak up some Mediterranean warmth under the shade of striped umbrellas, the beach also has a variety of useful facilities as well as a lifeguard on site. A few meters from the beach, the seafood eateries tucked into Barcelonata's bylanes serve authentic Catalan seafood and are a local favorite.

Tibidabo Amusement Park

There's no better place to get a rush than the Tibidabo Amusement Park, an exhilarating attraction that opened on top of Tibidabo Mountain in 1901. Begin your visit to this family-friendly attraction with a panoramic ride up the Tibidabo Cable Car then hit the rides. Hold on to your seat on a stomach-turning roller coaster, watch your kids take a trip on the miniature train, or take a scenic flight on the historic Red Aeroplane ride. You'll also discover great performances, wonderful restaurants, and an outstanding view of Barcelona on offer here. Thrill seekers welcome.

Zoo Barcelona

It all began with a certain Luis Marti Codolar donating his animal collection to the City Council in 1892. Today, Zoo Barcelona is one of the most visited spots in Parc de la Ciutadella. Over 7000 animals from over 500 different species call this beautiful sanctuary their home. Exotic mammals like anteaters, hippos, and mangabeys offset enchanting birds like the black vulture and red front macaw. Fascinating amphibians and reptiles round out the fauna housed at the zoo, and all around, majestic Grevíl-lea and Om trees represent beautiful flora. Beyond its incredible wildlife, the attraction's commitment to ecological conservation and preservation is a big selling point, as if guests weren't already lining up to experience the wonderful Zoo Barcelona.

Poblenou Cemetery

An architectural and historical landmark of the city, the Poblenou Cemetery is a popular attraction for its notable burials and numerous statues and monuments. Constructed in the early 19th Century, it was designed by Italian architect Antonio Ginesi and is divided into two sections; the normal burial niches are located at the front of the cemetery while the more extravagant area of mausolea and monuments which catered to the wealthier population of the city, are at the back. The cemetery is visited by a large number of tourists from around the world to admire its architectural beauty and the nostalgic aura that surrounds the place. The Kiss of Death sculpture, located in this cemetery, particularly attracts the attention of each visitor because of the bittersweet undertone that it gives to the observer. It depicts a marble sculpture of a skeleton planting a kiss on young man's forehead as it prepares to lift him away. A visit to this cemetery, surely gives a very enchanting experience to the visitor.
