With the pale walls, art-deco style and great music, Theater District nightclub Venu seems to be a transplant from the Miami scene. Several resident DJs host theme nights for city clubbers and the international set, including International Fridays and Greek Saturdays. Jackets are required, and clubbers will see a lot of Armani and Versace attire on the dance floor. An exclusive VIP area provides a little more privacy. The nightclub also offers an event space suitable for hosting corporate and private events.
If you and your pals are in the mood to celebrate, and are looking for a place that features cheap drinks and live music performances, then P.A.'s Lounge is the venue you need to check out. However, do ensure you and your amigos can pretend not to wince when you see the hipster-clad, tattoo-flaunting junkies that seem to have forgotten the place they once called home, flow into this bar. Another thing to be wary of at this place is the deceivingly stark and absolutely obnoxious juice concentrates that have managed to find their way to the otherwise good-enough drinks menu. Once you've let these get past you, a visit to P.A.'s can actually be a whole lot of fun, since its the ideal place to down a large variety of drinks, and then slide into the performance area to catch some great tracks belted out by some very talented indie, rock, pop, and folk artists. Please note: Only cash payment accepted here.
