Nom Wah Tea Parlor

Serving the people of New York since 1920, Nom Wah Tea Parlor is one of the longest-running dim-sum restaurants in the neighborhood. The interiors are simple with a brown chequered floor and yellow walls with pictures hanging on them. One must try their chef's special- Shanghainese soup dumplings, Minced beef dumplings in soup, Shrimp and snow pea leaf dumplings, Salt and pepper pork chops. Do not forget to try their teas, available in varieties of flavors like Jasmine, Long-jing (dragon well tea), Chrysanthemum, Shui Hisen, and more. To finish the meal on a happy note, their almond cookies, steamed red bean buns, and steamed lotus buns seem to do wonders for customers. So if you are looking for authentic Chinese cuisine with great dim sum head straight to Nom Wah Tea Parlor and you won't be disappointed.

La Mela Ristorante

La Mela or "apple" in Italian has been a staple on Mulberry Street for more than 25 years and it has garnered a reputation for offering some of the most affordable dishes on what is probably the most popular street in Little Italy. With so many options to choose from in this area, La Mela is a comfortable, no-frills place where you feel as if you might be dining at your uncle's house. It's great for parties because of the family style meals, however they still have a la carte options. On the menu you can find all the familiar favorites such as veal scallopini, spaghetti marinara and chicken Parmigiana in addition to an extensive wine list. One other little benefit if you happen to dine here in the summer, as you leave the restaurant, don't forget to try their excellent gelato at their little stand right outside the door.

Rubirosa Ristorante

The darling of the Italian American community of Nolita, Rubirosa treats its guests to a generous spread of revamped traditional Italian eats. Owned by the well-known Pappalardo family since 2010, the restaurant's modest yet charming Italian diner-style decor welcomes visitors with humility and endearment. The food is just an extension of the vibe of the place and is infused with honest flavors and presented with simplicity. The Lasagna Napoletana, Black and White Tagliatelle, and Beef Braciole are some of the restaurant's specialties.

Loreley Beer Garden

This old-world German restaurant exudes a lovely continental charm. Sauce

Sauce is a rustic Italian eatery located on the Lower East Side. The restaurant is owned by Frank Prisinzano, owner of several of New York's favorite Italian places. The food is served in elegant dishware, going well with the rustic-chic ambiance. The menus feature classic antipasti like garlic bread and Italian sausages, a variety of pastas, and delicious pizzas. A special kids' menu and decadent dessert options make this place a family-friendly dining experience. Sauce also features its own butcher shop where you can pick up some of the house-made sausages and other meats to take home with you.

EN Japanese Brasserie

EN Japanese Brasserie is the first US venture for the brother-sister restaurateur duo, Bunkei and Reika Yo. The menu is completely Japanese and the chef, Koji Nakano does his best to give you the authentic Japanese cuisine. You could try the restaurant's signature menu or select other delicacies as per your taste. Saikyo black cod in miso, crispy snow crab tempura and avocado roll for sushi or Konnyaku for vegetarians are a few of the available items. Also, keep a check on the brasserie's event schedule. Plan your visit according to the tasting events that take place quite regularly. Private rooms are also available for special parties.

L'Artusi

Named after Pellegrino Artusi, well known for his expansive cookbook La Scienza in Cucina e L’Arte di Mangiare Bene, L'Artusi will make any epicurean proud. An Italian diner with modern twists by Gabe and Katherine Thompson and an impressive wine cellar, this eatery will charm you. Spread across two floors, you can catch all the action in the open kitchen. It also features a cheese bar. Their menu includes spaghetti with garlic, parmesan, and chiles, rigatoni with ragu and basil, bucatini with pancetta and tomato, charred octopus with pancetta, and roasted mushroom. If you are a first-timer at L'Artusi, chances are you will leave as a fan.

ABC Kitchen

A home decor store is hardly the place you'd expect to find a superlative dining experience, but ABC Kitchen (located within ABC Carpet & Home) delivers. This venture between the home decor giant and celebrated chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten paid off handsomely when it was voted "Best New Restaurant of 2011" by the James Beard Foundation. ABC Kitchen's delicious American fare is more than worthy of its already fantastic reputation. The restaurant's brunch, lunch, and dinner menus are full of well-crafted preparations that highlight the best in healthy, local, and organic ingredients. The restaurant strives to be green and sustainable in everything they do, right down to the bread baskets, which are hand-crafted by the Mapuche people of Peru. Pier 66 Maritime

At Pier 66 Maritime enjoy a delicious meal with splendid views of the Hudson. The restaurant is located on what was previously a boat used to transport railway cars. Frying Pan

Visitors can experience the mysteries of being aboard a sunken boat while also enjoying fresh seafood onboard the Frying Pan. The Frying Pan was a former lightship, but eventually fell into disrepair and sunk due to a broken engine. It was bought by its current owners and repaired in the 1980s and now serves as a popular bar and grill. However, the ship still retains its sunken look in the lower levels in order to acknowledge the Frying Pan's long history.

Keens Steakhouse

Step into this classic chophouse and admire the odd display of 90,000 clay pipes that were once smoked by customers after dinner.
