Located just seven miles away from Dundee, Monikie Country Park balances its excellent water sports facilities with the needs of the wildlife that inhabit the park. For water sports enthusiasts, the park's massive reservoir provides the ideal setting for boating, canoeing, windsurfing and fly-fishing. Moreover, from May until September, the park's Rangers run instruction courses for tentative beginners. Though established in 2010, the Dundee Museum of Transport was officially opened to public in 2014. The Mills Observatory lies in the city of Dundee in Scotland. Built in the year 1935, this was the first public astronomical observatory in the United Kingdom. HMS Unicorn is the oldest British-built warship still afloat. The ship's original seafaring condition has been preserved as far as possible, whilst the few areas that have not been conserved are now employed to house imaginative displays and exhibitions relating to the vessel's life history.
