For laughs in the Southwest, lot of local head to the El Paso Comic Strip Comedy Club. Almost every night of the week, comics take the stage to ply their jokes. From clean-cut comics to raunchy and raucous humor, there is usually someone up there that will elicit a laugh. Another benefit from this club, is that the owners to not have a requisite two-drink minimum and it's a non-smoking establishment. If you do want to drink, the bar has a full panoply of drinks, from beer to liquor and everything in-between.

With a capacity of 11,767 people, the Don Haskins Center is the largest sports and concert venue in the city. It was named after a basketball coach here at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) and today it still hosts college hoops as well as boxing, wrestling and pre-season NBA games. Occasionally, the DHC hosts live music, in the past Fleetwood Mac and Aerosmith have graced the stage here as well as many other big name acts.
If you happen to be in El Paso and prefer live theater and performance art, then head to the Abraham Chavez Theater. It is located right near the larger El Paso Convention Center and the architecture resembles that of a spaceship. Nonetheless, access to the theater is convenient, with a seating arrangement that can accommodate approximately 2500 people. It is one of the best places to catch a show.
Canutillo Stadium is the home ground of Canutillo Eagles a football team of Canutillo High School. It is a multipurpose stadium and hosts soccer, football and other athletic tournaments for the home team. Prior to becoming the home ground for Canutillo Eagles, the stadium was home to America's soccer team, known as Indios USA. The stadium has artificial grass known as field turf and in 2008, a new blue turf was also surfaced on the stadium.

Southwest University Park is a baseball stadium and forms an integral part of the sports scene in the city. This ballpark is very well designed to provide optimum seating facilities, a good view of the pitch and an even better view of the surrounding countryside mountains. This stadium is home to the El Paso Chihuahuas and draws crowds of local supporters to every game. The stadium has a number of fast food restaurants and souvenir shops and also has party rooms and an event space available for hire to host birthdays, anniversaries and other parties.
SISD Student Activities Complex is more popularly known as The SAC and is located in El Paso, Texas. The venue is horseshoe shaped and is a multipurpose space which can be used for football, swimming and track and field tournaments. The stadium is owned by Sorocco Independent School District and is mainly used for football games. Inaugurated in 1991, the stadium is the home ground of the infamous El Paso Armour Minor League Football Team with a total capacity of 11,000.
