Mare Island Preserve Trail is located in the city of Vallejo. This place offers a beautiful four mile (6.43 kilometers) walking trail in the hidden lands of the bay. Spread across 45 acres (18.21 hectares), Odette Estate Winery came into being in 2012 after Gordon Getty, Gavin Newsom and John Conover bought the former Steltzner Winery. Inspired by a fabled name, this winery features a living roof, a functioning cave and tasting room. Their rich vineyard is full of Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay grapes. Currently they have two labels, Adaptation and Odette Estate. Taste their elegant wines in their tasting room, however an appointment is needed if you are visiting only the tasting room. But a tour of the estate is not only enriching as you get to see their grape plantation, their wine lab which is set in salvaged shipping containers along with the tasting room. Kids and dogs are welcome.
