Don't let the name fool you, you can't buy buckles or boots here, but you certainly should wear them when you come. A good-looking Stetson hat wouldn't hurt either. Robert's Western World is a Nashville country music legend and its popularity has revitalized the entire Broadway area. Crowded, smoke-filled and always noisy, this traditional honky tonk offers a cramped floor for two-stepping with your sweetheart and plenty of tables to relax with the coldest beer around, but be forewarned there is no line dancing here. Its strictly 21 years and over after 10p.
Possibly the city's oldest watering hole, Springwater Supper Club & Lounge has been here so long that the current owner does not even know when it was first built. Just be glad it was, because there's no place like it in town. Nothing fancy about the interior, which consists of a large room with a good stage and bar. The crowd is interesting most nights, but not nearly as interesting as the music. Bands, from country to punk rock, take the stage every weekend. There is never a cover charge nor a dull moment here.
The Patterson House feels like something straight out of the roaring 1920s. This swanky, classy lounge offers great drinks and fantastic atmosphere into the wee hours of the night. The fabulous mixologists, known elsewhere as bartenders, offer some of the best drinks in town. The food at The Patterson House is intended as a light snack to go with a great drink. While Nashville is known for its country clubs on music row, The Patterson House feels more like something from New York, Los Angeles or the Big Easy. When planning a trip to The Patterson House, be sure to dress up - the decor is stylish, and so are guests.
As one of Nashville's institutions, Santa's Pub's unconventional location is perhaps the least surprising part of this charming bar. Located on Bransford Avenue, Santa's is tucked away in a Christmas themed, graffiti-tagged double wide trailer. This cash only establishment is run by none other than Santa himself, also known as Denzel, and littered with Christmas decor, wood paneled walls and a man named Ichabod who's in charge of karaoke. The beer-only rule helps keep out the more rowdy patrons, helping to ensure Santa's Pub keeps up it zero fights streak. A colorful establishment to say the least, Santa's is a Nashville must visit.
This local bar and restaurant is truly a neighborhood bar, with the staff often calling you by name and remembering your drink order. The interior of this homey place features old maps, photographs and local memorabilia. Evenings usually include live music from local bands or karaoke accompanied by nightly specials and a happy hour. The food portion of this friendly establishment is populated by locally smoked meats for gourmet sandwiches, soups, and salads. Their brew selection highlights many local breweries and the wine menu features an eclectic array of choices.
The selection of beers here is simply amazing. There are over 70 brews on tap and over 150 different bottles available. There is live music most nights of the week. Bar food favorites like burgers are also available.

Whiskey Kitchen is located in Nashville's trendy, urban Gulch neighborhood. This popular watering hole is a top notch addition to Music City's nightclub scene. The food and drinks at this MStreet tavern certainly draw a crowd, so don't be surprised to find people lining up outside the entrance every night of the week. Not unlike many other Nashville clubs, the music and pub food are both served piping hot. In addition to the awesome spirits menu, the gourmet pub fare is well worth the time spent chilling out. On a warm night be sure to catch a spot on the patio and don't forget to try the jalapeño fried pickles. -Lynn-nore Chitto

Tavern Midtown is one of four restaurant establishments in the trendy downtown Gulch neighborhood of M Street. With warm, rich, dark wood tones, flat screen TVs, and a large patio, the Tavern is the perfect after-work spot to relax and dine. Delicious pub fare complements the fantastic drinks and outstanding drinks at this Midtown pub. Like other Gulch area restaurants, the attire is a little dressier than other parts of Nashville, but the atmosphere is worth the effort. Be sure to try the sweet potato fries and Red Sangria. -Lynn-nore Chittom
Blackstone is a great choice for casual dining with a group of friends. The pizzas here are of the build-your-own variety with ample amounts of vegetables, meats and cheeses, and your choice of crust. The real draw is the beer. All varieties are brewed on-site and include something for everyone, lager, ale, pilsner, stout, pale, you name it, they brew it.
