The Oostduinpark is the on the northeast border of Scheveningen. Though it is within the city limits of The Hague, it is a small slice of the wild nature that existed in these precincts before the urban development of today replaced it. Unlike the wide expanse of the Meijendel reserve to the north, the dune park is much more cultivated and features many small picnic areas and seaside lookouts. The park also has its own public beach areas and is close to the promenade, the Scheveningse Pier, and the tram lines into town.

One terminus of the Strandweg is a dune park, so walking long enough will bring one back to the wilderness.
