Scotiabank Arena

The Scotiabank Arena is a stunning event facility overlooking Lake Ontario. Boasting of a standing capacity of close to 20,000, this arena delights spectators with its state-of-the-art interior and a gigantic video screen that ensures an obstruction-free view of the game. The place is used for a variety of sporting events ranging from basketball to lacrosse, but the it is at its euphoric best when hockey heroes Toronto Maple Leafs are at the center.

The Second City

What do Dan Aykroyd, John Candy, Mike Myers, and Gilda Radner have in common? Aside from being great comedians, they all got their start at Second City in the Old Fire Hall. Laugh at impromptu wit and cutting satire at these sensational shows. And don't miss the post-show improvement when audience suggestions influence the hilarious direction of the show. The club also has merchandise for sale and club facilities can be rented as well. Various dinner packages can be availed at the club prior to the show. This is one of the most famous comedy clubs in Canada!

Casa Loma

Built over three years beginning in 1911, Casa Loma was born of the lofty ambitions of the Canadian financier Sir Henry Mill Pellatt. Inspired by the castles of Europe, Pellatt sought to employ the formidable resources at his disposal to build for himself a grand chateau in the heart of Toronto; an abode truly befitting the aspirations of the magnate. Built in the Gothic Revival style, Casa Loma appears to have sprung from the pages of a fairy tale, replete with hidden passages and generously adorned with exquisite art. The castle features 98 lavishly decorated rooms and is surrounded by a beautiful estate complete with its own conservatory, gardens, and stables. The Great Hall's sculptured pillars, the Conservatory's stained glass ceiling, the Library's impressive cache of books, and the subterranean tunnel to the stables outside are just a few of the many treasures that define the estate. Pellatt's triumph was short-lived, however, his businesses buckling in the aftermath of World War I, forcing him to sell his home. Today, Casa Loma is a museum and popular event venue.

Distillery Historic District

Located near the city center in Toronto, the Distillery Historic District is a prominent area of the city where the Gooderham and Worts Distillery used to operate until 1990 CE. The distillery was touted as one of the biggest facilities in the world. After its closure, the Victorian-era buildings of the property became the Distillery District of today. Today, it houses many shops, restaurants and commercial complexes. However, the historic facade of the distillery is still intact and can be seen.

The Opera House

The Opera House attracts some of the best music performers in the city. It is worth the trip to check out who's playing at a venue where bands go out of their way to perform. The place has an underground feel with a sound reminiscent of catacombs, but the environment has a charge in the air that boosts any concert. No food is offered, but the bar is fully stocked with all your rock-and-roll needs. Ticket prices vary.

Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre

Declared a national historic site in 1982, this structure represents the last stacked Edwardian theater in the world, meaning one theater on top of the other. It was built in 1913 as the first of the Loews vaudeville theatre chain. Located downstairs, the 1,500-seat Elgin Theatre makes for a lavish gathering with royal boxes and charming gilded plaster details. The upstairs 1,000-seat Winter Garden features trompe-l'oeil paintings of pastoral scenes and a spectacular fireproof garden hanging from the roof. Catch some of the most awaited theater productions at this spectacular venue.
