Northampton Slave Quarters and Archaeological Park is an outdoor museum that consists of a park type setting. Previously called the Northampton Plantation, this was a residence to the Sprigg family for over two hundred years. The museum is known to have ancient excavations, artifacts and several historic documents that are simply unique. Besides, the museum has a lot of rich information about the plantation and the farm. You will witness medals, coins, bottles, bones and other elements of the social and religious life of the African American who lived there 200 – 300 years ago.
