Civilization always speaks a voluminous past and Llanfaelrhys is one such civilization. The village was once a civil parish of Gwynedd. Located on the Llyn Peninsula, the parish was dissolved in 1934. Post the abolishment; it was merged into the Aberadon community. This naturally endowed village boasted of a cultural past with the St Maelrhys Church standing strong as a site of English heritage, in the village. Llanfaelrhys is often visited by tourists owing to its natural beauty and calm surroundings.
