Rauschberg is a stunning mountain peak near the town of Ruhpolding in Germany. The mountain can be accessed by hiking or by a cable car, the latter being the more popular mode of transport. The snow covered peak during the winter is particularly popular with the tourists, who can enjoy the mesmerizing view while dining on some fine German cuisine at the restaurant up top.
In the town of Ramsau bei Berchtesgaden, the Wimbachklamm gorge is one of the most prominent attractions. Dating back to 1868, the Kurgarten or the Königlicher Kurgarten as it is popularly referred to as is credited to Carl von Effner, who was the garden inspector of the Munich Court. Also used for concerts, the park is primarily dedicated for relaxation purposes. Also found in the park's southern edge is the Kurmittelhaus, which dates back to 1928 and also serves as a host to a graduation house and convertible hall. Thanks to the aforementioned features, the Kurgarten was added to the Bavarian List of Monuments.
At an elevation of 2286 meters (7500 feet), Stadelhorn peak is the highest of the Reiter Alm range along the border between Germany and Austria, more specifically between the states of Bavaria and Salzburg. The main exposed route to the summit begins at the Mayrberg tip parallel to the west arête. From the top, mountaineers can experience an exhilarating panorama of Grosser Priel, High Tauern and the Dachstein to the east, and the Zugspitze to the west.
Naunspitze stands tall at 1633 meters (5357.6 feet) and belongs to the Kaisergebirge range of mountains in Tyrol of the Austrian section of the Northern Limestone Alps and is near the German border. The summit stands independently over the Inn Valley in Zahmer Kaiser, separated from the main ridge by a wind gap. From the Vorderkaiserfelden Hut, the peak is a 45 minutes long climb, and 20 from Peterskopfl and these are the easier routes. Along the west and north face, the climbs are as difficult as UIAA climbing grade III.
Geißstein is an imposing mountain dividing Tyrol and Salzburg. It is a part of the Kitzbühel Alps and reaches to a height of 2366 meters (7762 foot) above sea level. It is easily reached by Jochberg. There is an alpine hut in the slopes that serves as a climbing base. The grassy terrain in the south-western part of the mountain makes for a frequented climbing route. In winters, visitors can enjoy skiing on the slopes.
Formerly a Benedictine monastery, the Church of St.Martin is juxtaposed beautifully against verdant, Alpine scenery of Fishbachau. The church's ornate interiors are a stellar example of the Wessobrunn School of Baroque-Stucco workers. An amalgamation of different architectural styles from Romanesque, Baroque to Rococo, the church holds significant historical and religious value.
