"Ruins of the Greek Temple"
Located in the ancient Greco-Roman city of Paestum in Southern Italy, the Temple of Neptune is an ancient Greek temple built around the year 450 BC. The temple was dedicated to goddess Hera and is among the three magnificent Doric temples in the city. Except for the roof and the inner walls, the remaining structure is well-intact that the other two temples of Hera and Ceres. You can observe the double rows of Doric columns, the two altars and the statues of Apollo which hints at the possibility that the temple was dedicated to Apollo. The temple is a part of the UNESCO World Heritage site and visitors can observe the temple from outside as access to its interior is restricted.
