Parador Jarandilla de la Vera

This four-star Parador Hotel is the perfect place to spend the night. It's actually a 15th-century castle that once belonged to the Counts of Oropesa. It also served as residence to emperor Carlos V while work was being completed on the monastery at Yuste, where he would spend his final days. The castle was completely remodeled in the 1960s to house the Parador. Noteworthy architectural features include the inner courtyard, the colonnade and beautiful balustrade. Among the many facilities are the children's play area and tennis courts.
