Museo de Dibujo Castillo de Larrés
"A Fine Drawing Museum"
The two-story Museo de Dibujo Castillo de Larrés is a unique and significant tribute. It is located in the 15th Century medieval castle which was in ruins until mid-1980s. After much deliberation, it was renovated and opened as a museum in September 1986. The 14 rooms of the museum have more than 3000 drawings belonging to 700 artists. Of these, 350 are updated from time to time. The old tower of the museum is used for exhibits of works from local artists in collaboration with other institutions. The beautifully arched central courtyard is used as a venue for lectures and presentations.
