"An Extraordinary Experience"
Located in Southeastern Greenland, Tiilerilaaq is one of the five small settlements around the island of Ammassalik in the Sermersooq municipality. Not only is the settlement beautiful with gorgeous wooden houses, a grocery store and a village hall for tourists and boats anchored in the clear waters of the coast, but Tiilerilaaq also faces Sermilik Icefjord, which makes for quite a dramatic picture. Numerous icebergs can also be seen simply floating by the houses day-in and day-out. Once you are settled here, visitors can indulge in a number of activities, from hunting and fishing to spotting minke whales and narwhals gently swimming away in the crystal clear waters. Riding on dog sleds is the best way to get around, as is walking or travelling via boat. Boasting of a meager population of only 134 people, Tiilerilaaq is the place to be if you are looking for an unusual experience.
