Blanketed in grass cover and forming a beautiful landscape, the Santos Luzardo National Park is a natural wonder of Venezuela. Laced by Orinoco River and the border of Colombia, the rivers Capanaparo Cinaruco flows through the park joining Orinoco. Known for the diverse flora, the park is replete with Saladillo, Conger, Oak and Canafistula species of plants. As the water level of the River Capanaparo begins to decrease during winter, a magnificent phenomenon forming ripples of sand called La Macanilla can be seen in the park. Shrouded with dense green vegetation inside the park, is the pellucid green pond called the Well of Love. Protected by the National Institute of Parks of Venezuela (INPARQUES), this park is a nature lover's delight.
