Eymundsson

Established in the year 1872 by Sigfús Eymundsso, a noted bookbinder and photographer of Iceland, Eymundsson is counted as one of the oldest bookstore chains of the country. What started out as a small publishing house promoting works of local Icelandic writers and poets, blossomed into one of the busiest book shops over the years. This Eymundsson outlet finds itself on the busy Skólavörðustíg street and sells an exhaustive collection of English and Icelandic titles, souvenirs and magazines. A small coffeehouse inside the store offers a tranquil setting for book worms to unravel their favorite novels over a cup of hot coffee.
