"The Supreme Keeler Tavern"
In the Ridgefield area of Connecticut lies the historical building of Keeler Tavern. Initially, this property was a summer home to architect Cass Gilbert and was later converted into an inn. Timothy Keeler was in charge of the inn and was also appointed the postmaster. This gave rise to the operations of a post office from inside the tavern. At present, it functions as a museum exhibiting exclusive documents of its origins and about the Keeler, Resseguie, and Gilbert families. Check the website for admission fees and operation hours.
