In the center of piazza Gregorio da Rimini, the heart of early evening night life, La Cantinetta an eclectic pub-wine bar very popular with people of all ages, has been open for several months. Little tables outside, good wine, good beer, and very good puff-pastry snacks have drawn many visitors from the very beginning. The location in particular and the fact that it is among the largest in the square has made it the reference point before going to the discotheque and for midweek aperitifs. Particularly in summer, try sipping a good light wine accompanied by a piadina (grilled bread topped with salami or cheese) at the little wooden tables outside.
This restaurant is on the less prosperous side of the town, to the left of the port. It is right next to the ferry dock. It's worth taking a look around the port and looking at the fishermen's equipment and their work. From outside, the restaurant seems somewhat dull. It has windows on all four sides and doesn't seem very inviting. However inside it is split into small (quite noisy) rooms which are comfortable and cozy. Perhaps the tables are a little bit too close together but they are nicely laid out with yellow tablecloths. As for the menu, there are excellent Courgette and Coda di Rospo skewers, marinated sardines, cuttlefish with potatoes, prawns with mushrooms and seabass with olives. They have first courses like Risotto and Mezze Manciche (kind of pasta) with lobster (al dente, well cooked and with lots of sauce). They also serve delicate tasty Ravioli with prawns and Courgettes and Tagliolini allo Scoglio. For the second course, they serve a particularly good fried turbot, sea bass and sweet well-seasoned large Mazzancolle (kind of fish) which are cooked with onions and Courgettes in Vermentino wine. They have a good wine list which is has a fairly good variety and is organized so that there are bottles at all prices.
Beky Bay is one of the most exciting destinations by the seashore in Bellaria Igea Marina, RImini. During summer, the place has a vibrant atmosphere, like that of a carnival. Enjoying a splendid location by the Adriatic Sea Coast, Boulevard Music Club is a flexible venue whose capacity is 800 but shoots up to 1800 during summers. Equipped with comfortable parking facilities, gardens, in-house bars and of course the dance floors, this club redefines the very concept of entertainment. Lovers of alternative, metal, punk and rock music will be delighted to watch the bands performing here.
This is Rimini Marina Center's best known bar (or at least between 1960-80 it was) and every little boy in Rimini will have heard stories about how his dad used to chat up foreign women here. Since then the place has changed hands and management innumerable times but has always remained popular being great both in summer and in winter. Housed in a 20th-century villa, it has three dance floors, a lovely garden, a capacity of over 1000 people, billiard tables, a terrace bar, and a superb location. It is easy to see why it is popular with tourists.
The Taverna is another excellent idea from the local young businessman "Bubana" whose offerings are pretty much a guarantee of good quality. Right in the center of the area famous for its bars and clubs, the Taverna is part pub, part beer garden and part wine shop. There are tables outside, snacks, Piadinas and wine to be sipped. The food is typically Romagnolo with the emphasis on fish. The wine list offers a good and extensive choice. A tip: try to get a place inside during the evening aperitif hour when Bubana rustles up a quick mixed grill of fish and offers it around to whoever is present.
