Antico Caffé del Moro

"Every Hour, Every Day"

The second oldest café in Rome is located in the small Trastevere alley. It seems it was inaugurated at the end of 1800 and the local Municipality has designated it among the historical shops in Rome. It still shows its ancient iron painted sign with Italian soldiers offering drinks to African girls, and the inside rooms haved retained their pleasant turn-of-the-century atmosphere. Caffè del Moro is open from early morning until late at night. Romans consider it an institution and go there for breakfast or for a quick bite, for an ice cream or for an aperitif. Then, at night, it s time for cocktails and music. - Maria Frullini
