Galleria Alberto Sordi was named after the Italian actor Alberto Sordi when it reopened December 2003 after a long restoration. It was once known as Galleria Colonna, a sort of covered street at the beginning of the 20th century. Nowadays this hidden treasure is again a shopping mall located in the very heart of Rome. It houses a bookshop, several fashion stores and a couple of cafés. It presents small exhibitions and events quite often. It also offers catering for those events.
