Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne

Religion and sports come together in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, a town that has held the title of Episcopal see collectively for over five centuries in history and also boasts one of the biggest cycling climbs for hardcore cyclists. The city was chosen as a stage town in the Tour de France in 2006 and 2010, as a starting point and then as a finish line, respectively. Culture is abundant in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne which is home to religious relics, antiquated art, and several museums, including the Mont-Corbier museum and the Opinel museum.
