San Diego’s Little Italy Mercato consists of 70 booths that feature various foods from more than a dozen certified fresh food California producers. Every Saturday morning regardless of weather, curious wanderers can find fresh and organic produce, meats, flowers, and much more along San Diego’s Date Street. At the Little Italy Mercato, people can experience live chef demonstrations, tastings, and much more. Unlike many farmers markets, which cram the most amount of booths into a small space, the Little Italy Mercado spread booths throughout both sides of Date Street, which allows visitors to experience the best side of one of San Diego’s most cultural neighborhoods. - Erick Pettersen
