If history is your forte, Vallejo Naval and Historical Museum is a must-visit place on your trip to Vallejo. Established in 1974, this museum has five galleries where a permanent exhibition is put up. Visitors can glance through the local history and cultural highlights of the city and the Mare Island. There are naval exhibits that take you through the journey of Navy installations in the region. The submarine periscope that proffers breathtaking views of the island and the city is one of the prime attractions in the museum. Visitors can enjoy group tours here.
