The Fischer-Hanlon House was once the residence of Joseph Fischer. A fine example of the East Coast Federalist style of architecture, the house is one of the surviving structures of the California gold rush.
Main Stage Theater at Cañada College plays hosts to great theater performances and most of these revolve around social causes. Located inside the Cañada College; the theater is very well furnished with comfortable seating spaces and can accommodate more than 500 people. It is well maintained and has great acoustics and lighting. Eclectic mix of performances by college students as well as theater groups and production houses from outside makes every play worth watching at the Main Stage Theater. If history is your forte, Vallejo Naval and Historical Museum is a must-visit place on your trip to Vallejo. Established in 1974, this museum has five galleries where a permanent exhibition is put up. Visitors can glance through the local history and cultural highlights of the city and the Mare Island. There are naval exhibits that take you through the journey of Navy installations in the region. The submarine periscope that proffers breathtaking views of the island and the city is one of the prime attractions in the museum. Visitors can enjoy group tours here. A beautiful stretch of beach surrounded by overhead bluffs, the Cowell Ranch State Beach is not merely known for its sandy environs and waves. This beach is also home to a seal preserve, a protected area that shelters harbor seals. While the main area is closed off to the public, one might catch a glimpse of seal pups in early spring. Visitors to the beach will enjoy the scenic trails that lead up to the beach, some of which can also be traversed on horseback.

This multi-purpose venue is divided into various spaces such as a classroom, a fitness center, a gymnasium, a conference room, etc. The center is available for cultural programs, school camps, corporate events, and much more.
Located within the Camel Barns Complex, The Benicia Historical Museum was established in May 1985. The museum has a rich collection of Benicia's history and culture. There are exhibits that showcase the military brilliance of the city when camels were put into usage as pack animals in the 19th Century. There are close to 12,500 exhibits that feature artifacts, photographs, and documents. Guided and educational tours are available on prior booking.
